# Terms of Service for SoonGon

## Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using SoonGon ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

## App Store billing

Subscriptions and paid features purchased in the App are offered through **Apple’s In-App Purchase system**. **All billing, subscriptions, renewals, and refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s App Store policies.** SoonGon does not process your payment card or store your full payment details; charges are made to the payment method associated with your Apple ID. For subscription management, cancellations, and refund requests for App Store purchases, you must use Apple’s account or subscription tools unless applicable law requires otherwise.

## Description of Service

SoonGon is a Smart Pantry AI application that helps you:
- Track food inventory and expiration dates
- Reduce food waste through intelligent notifications
- Generate recipe suggestions using AI
- Scan food items using photo recognition
- Manage multiple storage locations
- Sync data across devices

## Account Registration

### Account Creation
- You must provide accurate and complete information
- You are responsible for maintaining account security
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the App
- One account per user (no account sharing)

### Account Security
- Keep your password confidential
- Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
- You are responsible for all activities under your account
- We are not liable for losses due to unauthorized use

## Subscription Plans

### Available Plans
- **Free Plan**: Limited features (up to 10 items)
- **Monthly Plan**: $4.99/month - Full premium access
- **3-Month Plan**: $12.99 (save 13%) - Full premium access
- **Yearly Plan**: $39.99/year (save 33%) - Full premium access
- **Lifetime Plan**: $99.99 one-time - Permanent premium access

### Subscription Terms
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24 hours before renewal
- Payment charged to your payment method upon confirmation
- Pricing subject to change with 30-day notice
- No refunds for partial subscription periods

### Premium Features
- Unlimited items in your pantry
- AI-powered photo scanning
- Advanced recipe suggestions
- Priority customer support
- Data export capabilities
- Multi-device synchronization
- Custom notifications
- Advanced analytics

## Acceptable Use

### You MAY:
- Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes
- Store accurate information about your food items
- Share recipes generated by the App
- Provide feedback and suggestions

### You MAY NOT:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Upload harmful or malicious content
- Attempt to hack or compromise the App
- Resell or redistribute the App
- Use automated systems to access the App
- Impersonate others or create fake accounts
- Upload inappropriate or offensive content

## Intellectual Property

### Our Rights
- SoonGon owns all rights to the App, including design, code, and branding
- Our AI algorithms and models are proprietary
- Logo, name, and trademarks are protected
- Content created by SoonGon remains our property

### Your Rights
- You retain ownership of your food inventory data
- You grant us license to use your data to provide services
- You can export your data at any time
- You can delete your data permanently

### AI-Generated Content
- Recipe suggestions generated by AI are provided as-is
- You may use AI-generated recipes personally
- We do not guarantee accuracy of AI suggestions
- Follow food safety guidelines regardless of AI advice

## Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

### No Guarantees
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- AI accuracy may vary and should not replace judgment
- Expiration dates are estimates; use your discretion
- Recipe suggestions are for inspiration only

### Food Safety
- Always follow proper food safety guidelines
- We are not responsible for food poisoning or illness
- Verify expiration dates before consuming food
- Use common sense and trust your judgment

## Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months
- We are not responsible for food waste or food-related incidents
- We are not liable for data loss (maintain backups)

## Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SoonGon from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your use or misuse of the App
- Your violation of third-party rights
- Content you upload or create

## Payment and Billing

### Payment Processing
- All payments are processed securely through Apple's App Store
- We do not store credit card or payment details
- Billing is managed through your Apple ID

### Invoices and Receipts
- Apple sends a payment receipt to the email address associated with your Apple ID after each purchase
- You can view and download past receipts in: **Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions** (or **Settings > Apple ID > Purchase History**)
- For subscription history and invoices, use your Apple ID account; we do not issue separate invoices

### Refund Policy
- Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple
- To request a refund: go to **reportaproblem.apple.com** or use the link in your Apple receipt email
- You may also contact us at soongonhelp@gmail.com for help or escalation; we will respond within 48 hours and, where appropriate, work with Apple on your behalf

### Billing Disputes
- Contact us at soongonhelp@gmail.com within 30 days of the charge
- Include transaction details and reason; we will investigate and respond within 10 business days

## Cancellation and Termination

### You May
- Cancel subscription anytime (access until period ends)
- Delete your account permanently
- Export your data before deletion

### We May
- Suspend or terminate accounts violating Terms
- Discontinue the App with 30-day notice
- Modify features or pricing with notice

## Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. We will notify you through:
- In-app notifications
- Email notifications
- Updated "Last Updated" date

Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

## Dispute Resolution

### Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.

### Informal Resolution
Contact us first to resolve disputes informally.

### Arbitration
Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration.

### Class Action Waiver
You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as class actions.

## Miscellaneous

### Severability
If any provision is invalid, the rest remains in effect.

### Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement.

### No Waiver
Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.

### Assignment
We may assign these Terms; you may not.
